HELISKIING & HELI BOARDING IN CANADA IS SOMETHING TRULY SPECIAL

We feel incredibly lucky to be able to call the Rocky and Cariboo Mountains “home.” The mountain ranges will take your breath away.

Every heli-skier (and heli-boarder) craves something unique. What is it for you? Perhaps endless “virgin” powder? Maybe breathtaking northern Canadian vistas seen by only a select few? Or, could it simply be the possibility of something truly special... like a heliski adventure you'll never forget? Well, you are among kindred spirits.

Crescent Spur Heli-Skiing is a family-run helicopter skiing and heli boarding operation and that caters to like-minded adventurers. Our guests appreciate the comforts of home, coupled with delectable dining, and a sense of camaraderie. What they’ve come to expect is absolutely exhilarating helicopter skiing and boarding (see some of our heliski photos, straight from the Canadian Rockies and famous Cariboo Mountains).

By encouraging small groups of visitors, we ensure that everyone experiences a personal, one-of-a-kind heliski adventure. (There are no crowds of tourists here.) Meanwhile, our relaxed, down-to-earth environment has earned many repeat visitors. This isn’t easy, though—we work diligently to bring the utmost of professionalism, service, and safety seamlessly to our heliski guests. We’re also a member of HeliCat Canada: an association established to maintain a high standard for Helicopter Skiing and Snowcat Skiing Guides and Operators in BC, Alberta, and the Yukon.

So, ask yourself what you desire. If it's the helicopter skiing (or helicopter boarding) vacation of a lifetime—we might have just the thing for you!

The kind of heliski terrain our skiers choose from

Ask our customers why they heliski with us, and they’ll likely give you a few reasons. Some will cite an abundance of dry snow, or the two mountain ranges to choose from. Others might mention the alpine bowls, glaciers, and naturally gladed big forests. Come out and make up your own mind!

The helicopter that takes us to heli-ski Heaven!

Part of the wonder of heli-skiing is found in the helicopter. Our state-of-the-art Bell 205 is a thing of beauty, boasting incredible lifting capacity. It holds 10 heliski guests and 2 guides and is outfitted with precision equipment that allows our pilots to do their best work safely and accurately.

For heliski fanatics, this is 1,500 miles of bliss

We ski within a 1,500 square mile heliski operating area. Our standard trips include a wide variety of terrain, from open alpine bowls, to treed and gladed runs, and expansive glaciers. Our heli-skiing runs vary in length from 1,500 - 4,000 vertical feet and are between 9,000 and 3,500 feet in elevation.

In heliskiing, safety simply has to come first

Our pilots are highly experienced in mountain flying—particularly in winter conditions—and are assisted by highly trained engineers. We hold a comprehensive helicopter safety and orientation review each week to give you a general understanding of the machines and safety considerations before going heliskiing in the mountains.

Some heliskiing days are better than others

While we are used to spectacular deep powder heli-skiing conditions, every day in the mountains cannot be the same. Many days here are incredible; other days we have to accept that Mother Nature has handed us difficult snow conditions including crust, wind slabbed, or heavy snow.

Mark and Adam, heliski guides

“Double” the heliski guides makes a difference!

A good heliski guide makes all the difference to a heli-skiing adventure. We think two guides per group is even better, as it gives our heliski and heli board guests a higher level of service and more options to customize their experience.
