Gearing up for your heliskiing or heli boarding holiday

We experience a range of weather conditions and terrain – here are a few recommendations for your safety and comfort.

We recommend that you bring with you a two-piece powder suit shell (usually of Gortex or other moisture proof fabric), with a layering of thinner undergarments, warm gloves or mitts, and a helmet or warm hat. A couple of warm layers (polypropylene or merino wool) followed by a lightweight vest give you the flexibility to shed or add layers. Don't forget to bring high quality goggles and sunglasses. We strongly suggest that you take your ski boots on the plane as carry on luggage. (If your bags are delayed, you will need to have your boots with you!)

We will provide you with specialized powder skis and poles (we do not provide snowboards or telemark skis). These skis make heliskiing in powder snow (and especially adverse snow conditions) easier and more enjoyable. Skis must be equipped with ski brakes.

All guests are required to wear a guest pack that contains a shovel, and probe. There is limited room to carry an additional small clothing item such as gloves. There will be a designated small pack in the helicopter for extra items of other clothing that you may wish to bring along for your comfort

Après ski attire is casual: jeans, shirts, and inside shoes. Don’t forget something to wear to morning stretch class, a pair of slippers, and your bathing suit for the hot tub.
