Safety is of paramount concern at Crescent Spur Helicopter Holidays Ltd. (hereafter referred to as “CSHH”). CSHH, and any associated agencies, do not encourage and do not endorse reckless or unsafe behaviour in any form for the Shame for Gain contest (hereafter referred to as “contest”). Entries submitted should be existing material resulting from past behaviour, not new material created for the contest, and should focus on embarrassing and/or amusing past moments.

All countries are eligible to enter. The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of 19 years, and is open to all legal residents of the United States (excluding Florida), 21 years of age or older at the contest start date. Contest excludes employees (and persons with whom they are domiciled) of CSHH, their advertising and promotional agencies. This contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial, Municipal and State laws and regulations.
CSHH, and any associated agencies, shall not be held responsible for any accident, negligence, printing, administrative or other errors that may arise or occur in connection with the contest. CSHH reserves the right to modify, amend or terminate this contest with no obligation or liability if due to fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of CSHH or the administration, security or proper play of the game, subject to applicable law. CSHH reserves the right to modify, amend or terminate this contest with no obligation or liability, subject to applicable law.
To enter, complete the official on-line entry form. The period of December 1, 2011 thru March 15, 2012, is considered “The Contest Period.” An individual may enter as many entries as they like during the entire Contest Period. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. PST PDT on March 15, 2012, considered the “Contest Closing Date”. All eligible entries received by Contest Closing Date will be eligible to win the prize. CSHH will not be responsible for late, lost, misdirected or destroyed entries.
All entries become the Property of CSHH upon receipt and will not be returned. Entrants agree that any materials submitted to the Contest may be used for promotional purposes, without notification or compensation, for the duration of the contest. CSHH and any associated agencies assume no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty, failed, garbled or jumbled electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this contest; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the contest; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or any combination thereof, or; (e) any injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the contest or download any materials in the contest. Any attempt to deliberately alter or damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, CSHH reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law – including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Entries that are unintelligible, or contain overly graphic or uncomfortable content, will be disqualified. CSHH assumes no responsibility for human or technical error in the transmission or receipt of entries.
The winner of the contest will be chosen by the number of votes their entry receives, where the entry with the highest number of votes will be determined the winner. In the event that the winner’s entry is disqualified or they are unable to accept it for any reason, the prize will be offered to the entry with the next highest number of votes. Anyone is eligible to vote and may vote for more than one entry, although they may only vote once per entry. There is no limit to how many entries can be submitted. In the event that there is a tie between two or more entries with the highest number of votes at the closing time of the contest, the winning entry will be the one that reached the highest number of votes first. CSHH is not obligated to award more than one winning package.
CSHH and its affiliated agencies reserve the right to, at their own discretion, remove and disqualify any entries that they deem inappropriate (for example, profane language and/or overtly graphic content).
The winner releases CSHH, its affiliates, their directors, employees, officers and agents, including without limitation their advertising and promotion agencies (hereafter referred to as “agencies”), from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any prize, including any travel related thereto, as well as with any actions related to content submitted as entries into the contest.
For the winner who participates in the package, wilderness skiing and snowboarding involve risks, dangers and hazards in addition to those normally associated with downhill skiing and snowboarding at a ski area. These risks, dangers and hazards are outlined in CSHH’s Release of Liability and Assumption of Risks agreement, which the winner will be requested to read and required to sign before participating on CSHH’s wilderness skiing program. This agreement will affect their legal rights should they be involved in an accident. Copies of this agreement are available from CSHH’s office, or can be downloaded here.
If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, then CSHH reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest in whole or in part. In the event an insufficient number of eligible submissions are received or CSHH is prevented from awarding prize or continuing with the contest as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal state or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within CSHH’s control (each “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), CSHH shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest. If the contest is terminated for Force Majeure before the designated end date, CSHH will (if possible) select the winner from all eligible, non-suspect submissions received as of the date of the event giving rise to the termination.
All entrants of this contest completely release Facebook, and acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants also understand that any disclosure of information from the participant is provided to CSHH, and to any agencies required for running the contest, and not to Facebook.
YouTube is not responsible for the contest rules or any aspects of contest administration. YouTube is not a sponsor of the contest and users release YouTube from all liability related to the contest.
YouTube services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. YouTube is not responsible for any issues with the contest should there be a problem or interruption on the YouTube site or with any YouTube functionality. Videos entered in the contest will be available on YouTube, both during and following the completion of the contest.
As applicable, in no event shall YouTube, its parent corporation, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, or agents, be liable for damages resulting from any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content, (ii) personal injury or property damage (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of their secure servers (iv) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from YouTube, (v) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or similar issues if transmitted to or through YouTube by any third party, and/or (vi) any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred. This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction.

The winner will receive a package that includes: 6 days/7 nights at CSHH, all skiing, accommodation (based on double occupancy), meals, and use of specialized powder skis and poles. It does not include airfare, or, alcoholic beverages. The prize winner will be responsible for obtaining any required travel and health documents, and is responsible for all gratuities, applicable taxes, incidentals, and all other expenses not specifically mentioned above. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest period. For US residents, any income tax on the prize is the sole responsibility of the winner, and the winner must be able to legally travel to and/or within Canada. Travel arrangements are the responsibility of the winner and are not included in the Prize value.
The winning package will be available for redemption in the 2012/2013 ski season, between early January and mid-April, 2013. Once the package has been awarded, the winner must arrange the dates directly with CSHH.
Prizes Awarded must be accepted as awarded, are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are not convertible to cash. CSHH reserves the right to substitute a Prize or any portion as necessary. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. By entering this contest and accepting a Prize, the entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, video footage, quotes and/or photograph in any related publicity or Internet posting without compensation, except where prohibited.
In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the “authorized account holder” person in whose name the email account is registered, provided that person meets all eligibility criteria set forth in the Eligibility section of these Official Rules. “Authorized Holder” shall mean the natural person assigned to an email address, by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. CSHH reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and all of his or her contest entries) who tampers with the entry process.
The information you provide will only be used for the purposes of this contest with the option to receive further mailings solely from CSHH.
By completing the entry form, all entrants consent to the collection, use and distribution of their personal information by CSHH and its designated agents for the purposes of running this contest. Personal information (information that identifies you as an individual, for example, name, username, and email) may be collected, used and stored by CSHH or its designated agents for the purposes of running this contest. CSHH will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering the contest.
