All of us get excited about skiing when we see the first flakes fly in late November. We anticipate the season ahead, check out the new ski gear, and find ourselves watching “ski porn” on YouTube. With all of this early-season excitement, it’s understandable why so many think all the good skiing happens in January and February.
Sure, those are great months to be skiing, but the fun certainly doesn’t stop after Presidents Day. In fact, there’s some remarkable skiing to be had well into March and April. First off, in our mountain ranges, the snow is really, really, really good… well into the spring. Additionally, as we move into those months, days get a little longer, allowing for a brighter, fuller day of adventure.
And there you have it: another heli-ski myth debunked.
