Happy New Year from Crescent Spur Heli-Skiing! We hope your holidays were merry and bright, and spent celebrating with good friends and family. 2019 is now well underway and we’ve had a great start to our season.
While our in-house team were busy making beds, stocking the bar and hanging up all our new retail swag, our guides spent set up week in the mountains flagging runs and checking out early season conditions. They found excellent coverage with a 2-metre base at the treeline, and our regular terrain is in great shape for our upcoming tours!
The New Year brought with it a blanket of fresh snow down at the lodge and 70 cm up in MacLeod Creek, which meant some unreal tree skiing for our first guests of the season. Over the course of the week our guests got a pretty full tour of our tenure, including days spent in the Zig Zag zone in the Cariboos and the Morkill and Mount Rider zones in the Rockies.
The first week flew by and our second group are already half way through their stay with us. Conditions continue to be excellent (this morning we woke up to fresh snow and clear blue skies, and there’s plenty more snow in the forecast this week) and we can’t wait to see what 2019 brings to Crescent Spur!
